DREADNAUGHT To Release New Single, Video
March 20, 2009Seminal Australian hard rock/metal band DREADNAUGHT will release a new single, "The Push", this Wednesday, March 25. The song will be available as an audio stream from MySpace, MP3.com.au and with an accompanying film clip from YouTube and MySpace video. Look out for it as well on Australia's Rage, MTV and Channel V in the coming weeks.
"The Push" is taken from DREADNAUGHT's forthcoming self-titled album, due for release in early May. The Melbourne launch for the album will be held at the Northcote Social Club on May 1 with special guests ARGUMENT SOUL (Japan),THE OCULARIS INFERNUM, and GEER.
DREADNAUGHT's follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2006 Roadrunner release "Dirty Music" will be the band's sixth studio LP in its 15-year history and it features the group's "heaviest production to date." According to a press release, "the addition of ex-ALARUM drummer Matthew Racovalis has helped shape a highly diverse-sounding record, more akin to the technical-thrash-styled DREADNAUGHT of the mid-Nineties; yet retaining the dynamic subtleties that has made DREADNAUGHT unique amongst their peers."
